Pretty even for most of the 1st half. we had a great chance after 5 mins following a flowing move, cross from left by Luke to far post, headed back by razor but Jon Main just couldnt find the finishing touch.

Razor sent off on 40 mins for 2 bookables: having chops with the ref, then deliberate handball when put clear through.

Into the second half Tooting seemed to have corner after corner but none really threatened.

66 mins great little threaded ball by Luke put Main clear in inside right position and  he  sweetly bent it around the keeper with the outside of his right foot  ONE -NIL  Grin
More corners for tooting as we defended doggedly. Nicky Barnes (who came on on 70 mins) picked up a loose ball from a corner in the right back position ran full length of the pitch but was hacked down from behind just outside the box by the last defender. and off went the Tooting No 5.

85 mins Barnes picks up the ball right down by his own corner flag, runs full length of the pitch again, past several devenders, and cooly slots it past the keeper TWO NIL.  Grin Grin

a few errors are forgivable but less than 100% commitment is not.

supurb effort by the lads today and 2 great goals. Barnes played really well (first time in a long time) and his  goal put the icing on the cake for him and a great personal performance.

Dover won 1-0 and jimmy dryden went off with a knee injury after 47 mins.

Up the Angels and bring on the Dover. Cheesy

Brilliant performance.. what a team, to come back after Razor was sent off.
They were *all* brilliant. Nick Barnes was terrific when he came on and Main's goal was superb ( I think put through by Piscina?) .
Supporters behind the goal played their part also, some good singing.

fantastic bloody fantastic

whole team was immense after Razor was wrongly sent off by the pratt of a ref who nearly ruined the whole game

Jonno set up by Luke and a clinical finish/

Barnesey -two amazing runs-one got Kinch sent off as he only had the keeper to beat second he just kept going

great shame that Ray and Nick miss the final

Crowd was brilliant- we have all lost our voices

My head is still spinning  Cheesy Loved it!  smitten

Hard and fast first half. Bleedin angry at the ref for sending our beloved Razor off!!!  Angry Glad to see the lads give him his dues at half time. And great to see Razor join the superb Barmy Army for the second half - good on him  Smiley

I was worried about the line-up before the start. But Dobla true to form picked age and/or experience over anything else. These players always raise their game for a 'big one'. And it paid off. I was moaning to hell we had Mainy (that can't score) on the pitch and up front on his own after Razor went off  Roll Eyes I'm so glad i was proved wrong.

Great individual goal by Barnesy  Smiley Doblas Gob got booked (can't blame Dobla - he has no control over it  Grin ).

Well done fellas. Blinding!  Smiley Cheesy Smiley

Bring on the Douvre - they think we are scared of them from previous threads on here. I think we were scared of being bored to death with a 0-0. NO FEAR   Tongue

Great performance by the ref to try and win it for Tooting - never stopped trying for the entire 90 mins. But we still beat him!!!

Everyone was quiet simply brilliant today both players and fans alike!

Backs to the wall at times but tooting never looked like they would put one past JJ (Who was immense!)

Tootings keeper said that Razor was sent of for hand ball!!!! Will he miss the final or the first game of next season? PLEASE!!!!

Brilliant match well done everybody!! Just one thing left, sink the French!!!

What the ref missed most importantly of all was the defender who ran his studs down "Razor's" hamstring.
It was the only dirty foul in the entire game and it was hardly surprising that "Razor" was somewhat annoyed as the ref didn't even give a free kick. This was a refferees error!
For the ref to then have the gaul to send him off for handball was unforgivable. Even if he suspected the player had committed the offence surely a right royal ticking off would have been more appropriate given the importance of the game. All this goes to show that reality and refferees do not mix.

All that said what a great team effort  today and the defence must be singled out for an absolutely  wonderful performance. The other team members  who did more than their bit were in the stands .

Well done to the army !!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
