I thought he played extremely well when he came on. OK the dance was poor but he took his goal well. I'd play him along aside Owen or if we going to play with one up play him cause Owen is far from fit. Think Sven should go with this on Sat

Normal back 5

------------Carrick
Becks   Lamps   Cole
-----------Gerrard
-----------Crouch

The link doesn't work!  Angry

As for Crouch I have long been impressed with him, he appeared more at ease with the ball at his feet than any of England's world-class midfielders. Defenders at international level seem to stand off him totally bemused about how to handle him, I think the jury is still out whether he is more effective as a substitute to unsettle defences, or starting the game in Owen's place.

Cole (J) and Lampard were poor yesterday but I am confident they will up their game considerably for the tournament.   Afro

As for the penalty it was never a penalty, Gerrard dived. All this diving really annoys me as it is meant to be a mans game. Everyone needs to stop, as it ruining the game

Yep - justice was done when we missed the penalty.
Didn't think J. Cole was that bad, at least we got a decent left mid these days.
