Has the chairman lost it?
« on: Monday, 24 April, 2006, 22:39.54 »

Has anybody read the programme from Saturday (Chairmans comments), accusing the whole of Tonbridge first team of no effort, no passion or desire except Ray 110%? Surely with three cup finals, hopefully four coming up in the next few weeks, these comments should be kept to himself! To say players like JJ, Chopper, Bealsy and Luke (to name a few) are not committed to the club is an outrageous injustice. I think these comments are out of order and if I were them I would demand an apology. Having seen most games this season home and away I have never seen any player give less than 100%!

I didn't get a prog cos i missed the game. Razor is a 100%er every game, whether ill, unfit or out of sorts, he gives it always. I don't think i've ever heard the Chairman slag off individuals like you have mentioned, i'd imagine the comments were broader and the whole team was not playing with the committment necessary at this level and at this time in the season when we need 100% from all at the very least!

Let's not get carried away with percieved injustice, the overall picture speaks for itself. Play off's, though with a bit more oomph in the squad we could have had Auto. As has been said previously we can play either fantastic football or mediocre, there seems to be little in between, take a look at previous threads.

The team now seems to be rallying - better late than never!  Kiss

Akabar, I think it was a rallying cry by Nick more than anything. We MUST get promotion - simple as that.
