Tinkerbell with your mention of angel cake i thought you may have been in a different guise!

Our Ressies drew with you 1-1 and lost 1-3 before xmas. It was after that we hit form. You are above us in the League for your consistancy and you deserve applause for that.

We won't be putting out a Ressie team against your 1st's. Well not on the whole. But, we do have some exceptionally gifted very young players at that level that can do a job for us now. But, like your Ressies,  give them time...... You never know! Tongue

It's a shame that the ressies have a game as you could probably play the whole team in Saturdays match.
Very interesting quotes, you should not take us lightly, why don't you turn out your reserves and we will turn out ours as respective performances against each other this season and league and cup results prove us to have the better reserve side.

Shame your ressies decided not to play the cup game. It would be interesting to see how they played against us now. Maybe they have already worked that out for themselves. Wink

Quote from your board:-
"Shame your ressies decided not to play the cup game. It would be interesting to see how they played against us now. Maybe they have already worked that out for themselves."

Our reserves have played 10 games in the last 4 weeks with potentially another 4 games in the next 10 days.

Our available squad of registered players has got smaller and smaller due to a number of players having to play in the first team as other sides with cheque books signed some of our first team players just before the transfer deadline, also injuries have taken their toll, the average age of our reserves is about 17/18 and this volumn of fixtures is not good for them especially as some of them have in addition played for more junior sides.

On saturday they play their last league game which it is essential we win as a win will ensure promotion and possibly the league title..

Next Thursday they play in the final of the Suburban league  Challenge Cup where we play Hemel Hempstead the run away winners of the Premier League who have only lost 2 games this Season, I am certain we will not start as favourites against them but it is essential we give ourselves the opportunity to turn out as good and fit team as possible in both Saturday and next thursdays fixtures.

It is a shame we will not play each other in the Challenge shield semi final as our previous games have been very competative this season but I am certain you would have taken the same decision under the circumstances.
