I'm guessing Watkins, Powell, Falana, maybe one other may have niggling injuries?, so if you played them in both games it could do more harm than good? Maybe one or two others... think if I was manager I'd do a bit of subbing and rest players like O' Brian as much as possible.
If I was manager, not sure I'd rather go into an away game full strength than a home game weakened, but us supporters would like that home tie woudn't we .  Smiley

It's a shame that the ressies have a game as you could probably play the whole team in Saturdays match.

Even though we are playing Corinthian Casuals who are bottom, we would still need a point so it would be a bit risky to play the entire Reserve team. I don't know if they are all registered with the Ryman League anyway.

Maybe Dan but what would be really interesting is a game of 1st's v ressies. I'm not sure Tony would want it but i think it would be good to see. Perhaps pre season.

Funnily enough I was thinking of this the other day, 1sts v Ressies would be an ideal friendly to kick off the pre-season games, being a warm July Saturday you could also make it more of a "Fans' Day" perhaps with a cut-price bar and entertainment (Julian doing stand-up or Sivis giving us a song!!) and extra entertainment before and after the game (kids' penalty shoot-outs etc?)

Very interesting quotes, you should not take us lightly, why don't you turn out your reserves and we will turn out ours as respective performances against each other this season and league and cup results prove us to have the better reserve side.

Also remember both sides on Saturday have something to play for, if we did get three points and Newport no points we could avoid relegation if Banstead fold as stated on their web site.

Have respect play your best side or risk embarisment.

Hi Chocolate,
We certainly don't expect an easy game, drawing with Kingstonian and beating Molesey lately you guys can play on your day for sure. I think it will be a tight game.
We are in the playoffs and if we can get something against Molesey tommorow night, resting our players on Saturday before playoff game would be big plus if possible.
