posting on southern league forum, u would love to be a supporter of claction.

There plight reminds me of Poole Town, who we played in the Southern League in 1995/96. I vaguely recall watching us beat them 5-0 at Longmead.

According to the archive, there season finished:

I remember missing the 5-0 game and Ceefax reporting the score as 0-2! That was a bit of a shock to the system.  Shocked

IIRC Poole were doomed from the start of the season. They had been kicked out of the speedway stadium and were ground sharing the season before their disastrous season. I think they had to leave their ground share so could not attract any players and fielded a bunch of kids from the local park each week.
Currently 7th in Wessex Div 1.
