Angels 3-1 Lymington & New Milton

A very good performance from the lads today, exactly what was needed and is needed for the remaining few games. Wade and Luke will take the headlines but all the lads battled well today and were rewarded with three points.

JJ had very little to do all afternoon, stood no chance with their goal. Drew looks very good going forward but a little weak in defence. Danny Glozier still doesn't inspire confidence in my opinion. Bealesy was solid as was Chopper. Lew Watts looked a little short of fitness, quite slow but did well. Fraser looks lost in centre mid, should've had a goal but lobbed the keeper and the crossbar. I thought Barnesy was looking quite lively until his foot injury, hopefully not too serious. Danny Ward did alrite, won a few tackles and few headers, distribution poor but looks like a Danny Lye type of player. It just wasn't Sodje's day today, caught offside 7times before subbed in first half. Wade was awesome, even at 34 causes havoc amongst defences, won most headers, unlucky not to have hat-trick. Good determination for first goal, and excellent header for the second. Just shaded it as my Man of the Match. Luke Piscina, what can I say, what a player. His arrival changed the game completely. Fantastic finish for the third and brilliant cross for Wade's header.

Lymington had very little to offer in the attacking third, I didn't really think they ever looked like scoring. But they did, and what a strike it was, no chance for JJ. Again, another side with absolutely no fans.

Luckily for us, results have gone our way today so we've made up a bit of ground on those around us. We're still in the thick of this promotion fight, Saturday now is a really big game. We can do it, keep the faith.
