Never really rated Lyndon Rowland - Kent League player at best, always has been, always will be.

Seems no sign of this on either Fleet's or Met Police's websites. Seems as though it's just another rumour starter on K's Forum. In all honesty, cannot see Cooper joining Fleet.

It's happened and he played for them on Saturday in their 1-1 draw with Banstead....

Meanwhile, Met Police have signed prolific striker Ben Abbey.

Taken from Margate's Site

Latest News:
Announcement

At a specially convened meeting held after the Windsor & Eton game the Club Directors informed Chris Kinnear and Assistant Manager Kevin Raine that they have both been suspended from their duties with immediate effect.

The decision taken reflects the run of poor results since Christmas and the Clubs unacceptable position at the bottom of the Ryman Premier League this Season.

The Directors acknowledge the huge vote of thanks due to Chris Kinnear for the success over the last decade and Chris will go down as the Clubs most successful Manager in recent history. The Club will seek to appoint a caretaker Manager and will advertise the vacant position immediately.

It obviously goes deeper than the face value I'm reading, but it's a bit worrying to be caught quoted as "most successful manager" having just been suspended for club at the bottom of the table!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kinnear is another that has shown an interest in the Tonbridge manager's job in the past. Although I'm not a fan of his, the record he has with Margate speaks for itself.

Wouldn't be a bad acquisition but I'd rather have Joe Kinnear... Grin
