Gazza, you are either suffering from memory loss or are not in true possession of the facts. IIRC we ran out of money because a company called Brewers decided to renege on their promises of sponsorship instalments.

Until then Alan Walker was doing an outstanding job using his budget (set by the sponsorship promises) to attract players of the highest calibre to the club, and getting the best out of them to the extent that we were running away with the league after a phenomenal unbeaten run of some 24 games or so.

When the problems surfaced Walker, rather than cut the budget and lose crucial squad members, actually agreed to manage the side without pay for a month to give us an opportunity to replace our sponsors. Walker was then released by the Board after the disruption affected performances.

You can't blame a man for spending the money he has been given to spend.

So you would want to go through the heart break of losing a 14point lead again and losing all of our key players to our nearest rivals? Roll Eyes

try giving wade a starting spot, john main is lacking so much confidence he would be better swapping places.....see how he responds to 5 mins here and there.
wade never lost a header last nite until then everything had been easily cleared by their defence

I think Jim Ward would do a good job at Tonbridge, his team play good attacking football, and score plenty of goals, and we have a larger potential fan base.
I could hardly believe my ears this morning when I heard Dolby on the radio, he trots out the same old line every week.
Two points from a possible eighteen in the last six home games is nothing to be proud of, it's more like relegation form!

Wade isn't the type of player that's gonna stick around on the bench for a long time. He has done absolutely nothing for me so far to warrant a starting spot.

Jon Main's all-round game has been good, apart from finding the back of the net. I'm sure that when he puts one away, he'll put score loads. Dropping the Player of the Month for February certainly isn't going to help our cause, is it?

But that was because of the loss of sponsorship money, not the manager who had been sacked after putting us in that lead, so what's your point?

Is this the same Ramsgate that I have witnessed twice this season lumping it from defence to their attackers? They, out of all the promotion contenders, were the least impressive in my opinion. Huh

I think it is quiet valid to speculate on our next Manager. We have only won 4 matches this year. This represents virtually a third of a season and equates to Mid table form at best. I hope we can turn it round but am not optimistic.

I would welcome Walker back. He did a great job last time. Not sure what terms he left on so this might prove difficult. Failing Walker I would suggest George Wakeling. He not only got Bromley out of this League but has established them in the Premier plus he will definitely be available.
