Dengal.  I think you'll find it is a 'classic' situation fired up by a holiday taken if I remember correctly November time.  I think it is time this difference was put aside and he was given a go as we can't really do any worse at the moment.  An old favourite might kick it all off again in our favour.  I know it would lift the fans and surely even if the boys are p*ssed at Luke for going on a short break, at may put some fire back in their game!  Luke would give it a pretty good go!

I don't think I have ever seen Luke give less that 110%.

He gets a bit angry at times, ... and has learnt too well from Dolby on how to abuse the Ref .... but he is magic to watch.... you always feel something could happen.

Does this mean Jon Heath will have the same problem when he returns from Australia?

I think it depends on how long Glozier's with us. If he's here the rest of the season i don't reckon Heath will start another game this season

I agree with "Mr Chips" and others, Luke can score goals out of nothing, against Hastings in the cup for example.
It isn't just this season either that he seems to have fallen out of favour with Dolby, in the last away game last season, against Harrow, a game we desparately needed to win, he was kept on the bench until the last 1/4 hour, even though the strikers were having a real off day.

I find that has happened in a lot of matches MW, not just with Luke. We fans would like to see changes sooner when nothing is happening for us in a match. But i suppose the Manager knows his players better. Whether they have been ill, aren't quite fit enough and also what is going on with them personally as to whether they can give a performance or not.

At least we all love Lukes style of play. Like Mr Chips said, you always think something will happen when he is on the pitch, and he does give his all to a game.

He was unable to play on Saturday for the Ressies due to having played too many games for the 1sts for that particular competition. Charlie Cole will have the facts and figures for that one. He's only played a small amount of games for them so would still be deemed not fit enough yet for a 1st's position. I understand the Club are appealing the length of the ban Luke recieved last week as it is quite hefty.

Perhaps Luke is sick of football at the moment. He is a young man with a busy life and sometimes other things take priority. If so, i hope very much that he gets back into the game as soon as possible. At least he knows he has our support, because he is worth it.  Smiley

I think the point is Pete, that most people would love and want to see Luke in the 1st team.

You say that there is 2 sides to every story but, point 2, most people haven't heared either side of the story and that is what makes it more difficult for the fans to work out what is going on. All they see is a very talented footballer not playing when the team needs flair players just like Luke to get us back in the race for automatic promotion.

You may know more or less than me about the situation, but you must agree that a squad with Luke in looks stronger and we need, in my opinion, something to get us going again.

Agreed. I guess we are all speculating.
If you want an example of poor attitude shown by 'both' parties take the Burgess Hill game. Also recent red card was a pity ... never gonna mke the team doing this *if* there is already a ? over discipline.
But like I have said all along I love Luke and think he deserves a chance, and would be a great option right now. I think we really miss him, sub or otherwise.
Only my opinion though.
