Tell me who to put in it  Cheesy

Also do you realise that the only real chances from shots today came from the two players you and Pete named as the worse players today?  Grin

Team Line-up:-

Jerome John
Ray Powell
Danny Glozier
Jon Main
Steve Aris
John Beales
Steve Sodje
Danny Lye
Fraser Logan
Nick Barnes
Jay May

We certainly had enough chances today to win the game. Sodje headed over, had another unmarked header blocked, had a chance cleared off the line. Danny Lye had a volley cleared off the line. Jon Main missed a virtually open goal. Fraser sliced wide when through from a tight angle. Barnesy made the keeper pull off a decent save. Jay May and Dobla both had headers straight at the keeper. Jay May diverted a Sodje effort straight at the keeper. Embarrassed

We also hit the bar when a header was put onto his own post from a Horsham defender. We had more than enough chances to win the game but unfortunatly couldn't put one away. Thought Bealesy was outstanding. Got to put this behind us and look to Tuesday

Definitely, we could have perhaps had five or six goals this afternoon, but this is what happens when the side and strikers in particular are lacking in confidence.

Fair play to Horsham though, they were one of the best footballing sides I've seen all season. Westcott was awesome, possibly the best player we've come up against this campaign. Lee Carney had an opportunity when through one-on-one but fired wide and JJ had to pull off a couple of world-class saves, so in that respect Horsham could well have had a fair few too.

It was an exciting open game between two of the better sides in this division. I'm sure it would have been great for a neutral. Plenty of chances for both sides.

Sorry JM the two players mentioned were not at the game today and to be perfectly frank we need better from both our midfield and most definitley the attack.
On this evidence we will not even make the play offs for the very good reason that we cannot  create enough from central midfield and our forwards cannot hit the back of the net.
Today, we were for much of the game the better side and made many good chances. We did not create those chances from the centre of the midfield however but through the left side channel where Fraser Logan, Danny Glozier and Jon Main linked up to run the two overweight centre halves a torrid time at times in the first half. It is true to say that things improved during the second half (cenral midfield wise)and they did create a little more from as the match wore on. My question is why it took so long for them to get into the match.
As in previous games the defence worked bloody hard and deserved reward for their efforts through out the match as they often do but I am afraid they were let down by the other players today.
I was an outspoken critic of Brendan Cass when he was with the club because he missed too many chances and his wastefullness affected the confidence of other players in the team. I am afraid the same disease is affecting Jon Main who for all his efforts is now having an adverse effect on our chances of making the play offs.
Interesting too that Steve Sodje has been recalled by a manager who wanted rid of him last season to the extent that some of us were forking out to pay him. idiot2

I think we do lack a creative central midfielder at times, I know Dobla has been looking and looking but to no avail as yet.

It's unusual that both Barnesy and Lyesy aren't 'at the races'. Dobla did well when he came on, seemed to really gee the lads up, and they responded well by dominating the next few minutes before the goal. People, including myself, have been calling for Parkesy to get a run in the first team but I think we need someone with a bit of creativity, not another holding player.

Steve Sodje is a rejuvenated player, lots of pace and skill today, attacking well down the right hand side, adds a different dimension. Poor old Darren Smith must be wondering what he's done wrong, I rate him highly.

Interesting, just seen the Horsham line-up and Carl Rook played the whole game this afternoon. He wore No.10. Did absolutely nothing - I didn't even know he was out there.

Whoops

I tried getting clever, before I Realised that not everyone was at the match, so what I tried failed miserably Wink
