From what i hear we just didn't put our chances away. Main had a ball put through to him by Sodje and he only had to tap it into an open net, and didn't. Sounded like it was a more exciting game than of late (for the neutral) but we need to stick it in the bleeding net!  Roll Eyes

first half pretty even- Horsham had the better of the last 10 minutes whn Jj made a fantastic save from a header when the guy was left unmarked.
Horshams nos 7 and 8 were running Glozier ragged down the right and the danger came from there.

Second half we were the better side and had chances- Lyes shot headed off the line, Barnes 20 yarder well saved by the keeper and a couple of good crosses from fraser caused havoc,

Steve Sodje had a cracking game and from his hard work the ball fell to Main on the edge of the box but he rushed his shot and it went just wide.

Horsham then scored with 4 left from anothe unchallenegd cross which found the no 2 in our box wide open and this time he put the header in the back of the net.

We desrved at least a point and againHorhsam mugged us. Poor finishing again  Angry

JJ oustanding and made a couple of great saves.
Botrh full backs were getting caught out of position regularly - razors body language doesnt look right at the moment.

JB and Chopper sound as always
In midfiedl Stevo had a stonking game -showed good pace -probably MOTM. Barnes - not his best but not his worst.
Lyes worst game of the year- got an ironic cheer when he finally passed to a blue shirt after  65 mins
Fraser much better- worked hard skinned the no 2 and delivered some good crosses. Missed a ggo (wide) chance

up front Jay may worked hard had a chance or two. Jon Main looked drianed and his comfidence has taken a  knock.Missed a great chance

Subs
Dobla for May moving Sodje up front. personallt though Lye should have been take off

With a couple of mins left Falana and Huggins for Main and Sodje, consensus was Main should have been replaced earlier and Sodje should have been left on as he was giving them real problems.

Real gutter as with other results as they were , a win and we could have gone 2nd as it is now 5th and in a real dog fight. Makes Tuesday and the next 3 home games must wins.

End of the day- best performance for a while - we just need goals !!

Bloody frustrating today, daylight robbery. How we didn't come away with at least a point is beyond me. Not for the first time this season, Horsham stole the points. We did everything but the ball in the back of the damn net.

JJ pulled of a couple of blinding saves, first class, couldn't do anything about the goal. Razor battled well but still looks a bit off the pace, doesn't look like his normal self. Danny Glozier I thought dealt reasonably well considering he was up against a former Brighton first team player. Looked to attack at every opportunity, put some decent balls over. Chopper and Bealesy were solid (again). I'm afraid Barnesy and Lyesy just didn't show up today. Such a contrast to Tuesday evening where they were immense, today - nothing. Barnesy had one decent effort late on which keeper pulled off a decent save. Steve Sodje looks to be an excellent recruit, full of energy, loads of pace, my Man of the Match. Fraser was class first half, skinned their right-back time and time again, and put some excellent deliveries across. Should've done better when through on goal from a tight angle. Jon Main worked hard, but no confidence whatsoever, missed an absolute sitter. Jay May did well before he was subbed, was strong and held the ball up well, won a few headers too. Dobla came on midway through the second period and did well I thought, the lads seemed to respond to his introduction well. Wade and Leroy had very little time to change things.

Horsham played some excellent football at times, everything going through John Westcott, their right winger, a nuisance all afternoon. They'll definitely be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

Good atmosphere, especially pre-match in the bar. Horsham fans arguing between themselves was hilarious. Good to have some opposition fans too, credit to them.
