Perhaps Swiss Toni released Cooper to fund signing the Crawley squad.
"Signing overpaid lazy big-time players is like making love to a beautiful woman" and all that..

Hi jm,
Cooper left Dover also. But I'm sure one of the Dover obsessed guys will start a thread on that.

Well i do do know some of the reasoning behind the move, the major backer that allowed last summers take over and somewhat sudden move to fulltime has pulled out cos of bad results.
So the wages have been slashed by 50% and the entire squad put on transfer list, a real shame as they did really well as a part time squad last season.
With regard to help with the ground, it is council owned and funded due to the club agreeing to move from town mead so the entertainment complex could be built almost in the centre of town.
A bloody fine stadium it is too, with planning permission to build another stand on open terrace side to meet football league standards if necessary.
Not that i know anything about them really.
(wonder what gaz will say?)

Crawley have now brought in 3 Millwall lads on 'Work Experience'. Not a bad move!
