Oh I remember having this discussion years ago. As much as I am a 'fan' of being traditional the fact is the old club badge was so difficult to reproduce commercially it was the reason that the shirts for so many years did not have it (since the Kent League blue / white sleeves Millwall / Arsenal type shirt as worn by Boyton). This is a problem that should not be underestimated. Also, as I recall, there was never a decent template of that badge to use (see the golden jubilee pendants!). With all the talk of money at the turnstile this seems a step back to me. As a club we don't have the money to buy shirts and merchandise that include such a complicated design.

Just IMHO.

Call me a traditionalist, but I hated the new logo and have the old crest emblazoned on my signature on the englandfans message board.

Surely in this day and age the crest can be reproduced.

Surely this decision should have been taken in consultation with the fans as well as for commercial reasons.

What happens to the old kits with the now old logo on them??

I see this as a backwards step, perhaps the extra £1 on the admission is to pay for all the new kits!!

It doesn't make a blind bit of difference about the logo....at the end of the day, we are Tonbridge Angels FC - Ryman Division 1 Champions 2005/06  Grin

Well, same kit but with new sponsors and original club crest.
I didn't bother buying it last season as the previous shirt only lasted a year  Angry so got the white John Smiths one instead. I may relent this season.
