There's some names I'd forgotten! Terry Cordice is manager at Faversham Town I think. Basil was Dave Boyton and wasn't John Hardwick known as Billy Whizz? I was going to ask the same thing about Wiggy, I just can't remember his name. Bob Dudman could certainly hit a dead ball with some power.

Getting by with the Spanish, at least my neighbours now understand me. Mrs StillExiledAngel is much better than me with the lingo. Plan to take more lessons starting next month. All the best.

Sorry to break in fellas!  Smiley A name Guerro mentioned...Colin Blewden. Still involved with the Angels. Honary President ( i think)  but more importantly training the youngsters. He's this coming season's U16's Manager, been with the same set of players for quite a few years passing on his knowlege. His son is following in his footsteps, currently with Crystal Palace.  Colin is still fit. Plays for the Vets teams.

:police:Could Wiggy's name have been Nick Thomson?Bumped into another ex-Angel a few years back.Dave Ward was Managing Redhill in Sussex League.Tony Dixon was a quality player but a bit too nice on the pitch.I reckon the game i remember most was an away game at Maidstone about 1985/86 which we won 2-1.It was freezing and we could hardly stand up.I'm fairly sure it was a senior cup gameand Barry Fry was their Manager. He brought us in a case of beer as a reward for beating them.Imagine Jose Maurino doing that! I missed the next round through illness.Probably the only one i missed that season and we went out.Still a great night though.

That's the fella, not sure why he was called Wiggy though. I remember the game you mention. It was a Kent Senior Cup game. Didn't know you got a crate of beer but I do remember Barry Fry stopping a week's wages from every Maidstone player.

:angel:No Bank Holiday here today,so i'm a bit behind as i've been working. If you can call teaching swimming working! From what i'm reading though,it looks like another three points.Glad to hear that Bluey is still at the club.Another really nice lad who i imagine still lives in the area.He was a bricky if i remember.I dug out some old facts and figures last night.Unfortunately my old programmes were sacrificed when we moved over.I reckon i played just over 150 games for the Angels.Managing around 40 clean sheets.Altogether between 1974 and 2003 when i stopped playing i played 1349 matches. No wonder i need the sun to keep the arthiritis at bay.Keep smiling.Paul. I was at that Maidstone game as well! It was huge at the time, even though it was 'only' the KSC. It was snowing most of the game, we equalised direct from a corner, it went to extra time... but, funnily, I don't remember us winning. I thought we rescued a 2-2 draw and they beat us 1-0 in the replay at Longmead? I think Barry Fry brought the beer over cos we'd sung through the whole game, all huddled together in one corner of the stand - it was the only way to keep warm! Memory could be faulty, tho', after so many years!

Hi welcome to the forum.Yes we definately won that one,and i remember i wore tracky bottoms, which i hated doing.I'd probably go for thermals now. However it is still pleasantly warm here in Spain, and i'm off to paint my balustrades.I have a kick-boxing class to take later so it's not all R&R.All the Best. Mine was the abandoned game at Ramsgate in December. I've been to every home match (except last night's) since! And I love it!  Cheesy
