My first game was 1975. Tonbridge- Chelsea.At the old Angel ground A young Ray Wilkins captained Chelsea  if my memory serves me correctly. Crowd trouble at half time in the 'shack' and on the pitch.
Those were the days.

Friendly .v. Wolves - my misspent youth was on the terraces at Molineux.

Thought, well seems like a friendly club, I'll come down again from time to time - ended up being a home regular for the past 6 seasons now.....

I was first encouraged to go by a guy in my maths class who was a fan (though he stopped going soon after!).
My first game 12th October 1996 (thanks to the archive for the date!) - a 2-1 defeat to Newport IOW back when we had Emblen and Wilkins up front and Bill Roffey as manager.... I was back a week later for a 2-0 FA Trophy defeat to Aylesbury United. Despite that dubious start I was hooked and I went to most Saturday home games for the next 4 years. Then was away at uni for 4 years and been in Niger since so not too many trips to Longmead since 2000  Sad

Saturday 4th September 2004

Angel v Kingstonian

I can't remember it that well but do remember Kingstonian totally outplaying us but Angels still got a point i think? Huh Am i correct?

Right here goes, according to the old man my first season as a regular was the 88-89 season (the season we got relegated back to the kent league!) Although I cant remember much as I was only six.

Some of my stronger memories include the two cup finals against Whitstable where I was mascot for both! Thanks to Phil Emblen. Running out at Chatham with Dave (Basil) Boyton and at the Crabble with Steve Clark and lifting the prestigious Kent League Cup!

Also the night we were promoted back to the Sothern League, what a header by Mawson.

Anyway far too many other good and bad memories to go on. Happy days  Smiley
