Well, the scoreline pretty much sums this one up from an Angels point of view. A goal down after just two minutes, and 4-1 down after just 25 - Tonbridge came back to make a competitive game of it, until more shaky defending late in the second half allowed the visitors to make it six. It could have been even worse but for the inside of the post and a great save from Jamie Turner near the end.

Darrell Cox opened the Ambers' account with a fine left-foot strike when allowed space to turn and set himself on the edge of the box. Craig Roser's curling shot flew just wide, then Tony Dolby's free-kick just eluded new signing Danny Lye at the far post as the Angels pushed for the leveller. It was the visitors who got the next goal though, Steve Obeng slipping the ball wide of Turner on 18 minutes after Roser and Dolby failed to deal with a long ball out of defence.

Anthony Hogg turned in Roser's cross after 23 minutes to pull one back for Tonbridge, but Cheshunt bagged two more goals almost immediately. Steve Wales fired home after Andy Aransibia nicked a through ball away from Turner and crossed, then Ryan Harris converted from the spot after a fierce shot was scrambled off the line by Roser, only for the referee to spot a previous deflection from a Tonbridge arm. The Angels came back again though, and Cheshunt 'keeper Russell Ling was at full stretch to tip Dolby's free kick over the top. Roser's 20 yard drive flew just wide from the corner.

The visitors tight defence and hard working midfield ensured the Angels front pair of Joe Fuller and Luke Piscina got little chance to do any damage, and Ling was largely untroubled for the last hour of the game. Cheshunt's Chris Watters saw his shot cannon across the line and away for a goal kick off the inside of the near post before Harris found himself with time and space at the far post to tuck away a fifth for the Ambers twelve minutes from time. Late substitute Leon Archer clipped the ball home for number six after more static defending allowed him through unchallenged.
