Tonbridge Angels 4-1 Hendon

A well-deserved win for the Angels, but Hendon will want to forget this one in a hurry. After arriving at the ground less than 20 minutes before kick off, the visitors were down to ten men with just 6 minutes gone when John Frendo was dismissed for elbowing Sam Tydeman.

Skipper Craig Roser opened the scoring for the Angels, sliding home Anthony Hogg's cross for his first goal in 98 appearances. Wayne Carter headed inches wide for Hendon on 43 minutes, but Tonbridge bagged another right on half time, Hogg clipping home Tim Hambley's pinpoint cross.

The Angels were making the most of their man advantage, keeping possession well, and went three up early in the second half. Patrick Blackman was brought down just inside the box after a surging run, and Tony Dolby tucked away the spot kick.

The visitors pulled one back with 20 minutes left when Dave Hunt fired home from the edge of the area. Hunt went close again before Luke Piscina sealed the points for Tonbridge with a fine goal ten minutes from time, beating two defenders inside the box before applying a clinical finish. Hendon played the last five minutes with nine men after skipper Mark Nicholls was dismissed for dissent.
