Saturday, 8 November, 2003: Kent Senior Cup 1st Round.
Erith & Belvedere 0-6 Tonbridge Angels
Tonbridge recovered from their double cup-exit of the previous two weeks to hammer a poor Erith side 6-0 in the opening round of the Kent Senior Cup. Alan Walker made changes to the side which lost to Marlow in the FA Trophy, bringing in John Beales and Damian Hodge at the back in place of Andy Larkin and Ryan Royston, both suffering from knocks, while Lynden Rowland and Luke Piscina were given their chance up front in place of Ray Powell and Brendon Cass.

The early exchanges were evenly matched before the Angels began to take control of proceedings. A couple of corners were cleared before on 29 minutes a third corner was converted into the net thanks to a classy header into the top corner from sweeper Tony Dolby, and Luke Piscina doubled the lead with a clinical finish to give Tonbridge a comfortable 2-0 half-time lead.

The Angels were straight out of the blocks in the second half, and some good passing football led to Nick Barnes receiving the ball in the area and he put his left-foot shot out of the reach of Erith goalkeeper Clark Hunt for his first goal of the season. With the result now looking in no real doubt, Walker brought on Steve Searle, Keith Moore and Kieron Wilson in place of Sam Tydeman, Craig Roser and Nick Barnes.

On 71 minutes Lynden Rowland hit the Angels' fourth goal, rounding Hunt and tapping in, and then made it five on 80 minutes as Erith's defence evaporated into complete disarray. Finally, on 83 minutes, Luke Piscina scored the goal of the game as he received a long-ball with his back to goal, flicked it over and around the keeper and then volleyed with his left-foot into the bottom corner.
