Wealdstone 1-1 Tonbridge Angels Res
The stench from the blocked toilets in the away dressing room will live long in our memories, as will Jon Allman's third penalty miss in three successive matches.
Wealdstone started with a 100% record and Tonbridge initially failed to get to grips with a bumpy, grassy pitch, Bamgbola scoring after 5 minutes. On 16 minutes Paul Cardenall and John Beales combined on a corner for a Cardenall cross which eluded everyone and ended in the net.
Both sides missed chances, Matt Clark saving a one on one on 35 minutes. Allman was brought down from behind when clear on goal with only Wealdstone keeper Cobb being booked for dissent, and a nasty off the ball scuffle between Jay Wiltshire and Wealdstone's Calcalioglu was largely sorted out by the other players.
A booking for Neville for a tackle from behind began the second half, which continued in manic vein. Allman's penalty miss provoked a panicky five minutes from the Angels, culminating in Clark bringing down a Wealdstone forward after a rescinded offside flag. Remarkably Clark remained on the pitch to save the penalty.
An entertaining game with significant progress from several players, though neither side did enough to win. The match typically closed with Clark saving a one on one: the rebound was chipped against his bar to bounce back into play with Wiltshire clearing the resulting header off the line.
