Windsor & Eton Res 3-3 Tonbridge Angels Res
The Angels barely survived against a woefully poor and recently recruited Windsor second string that should have been buried by half time. Lee Cooper, set up by Darren Pearson and Jon Allman, put the Angels two up within fifteen minutes as the Windsor offside trap repeatedly misfired, Cooper and Allman both missing other simple opportunities to score.
Thompson nicked a goal for Windsor against the run of play on 29 minutes, following up unmarked after Matt Clark saved a one on one. Cooper missed two further chances to shut down the match before half time. In the second half Newton and Jones both took advantage of slack Angels play to score for Windsor, Clark being booked after the third Windsor goal for rightly abusing his statuesque defence. Simon Dunk was booked for dissent, Allman was booked for going down under a tackle when scoring was the easier option.
As the game died on the Angels the generally disappointing Andy Stuart had a header cleared off the line before Allman finally touched home a Cooper cross to equalise with the last kick of the match. Back in the dressing room the teacups trembled as they awaited their doom....
